​The Palms Hotel is ideal for a peaceful, relaxing retreat in beautiful Ocean Beach. We have created our hotel to meet all your needs and surpass your expectations. With excellent amenities and personalized services, we are dedicated to ensuring your satisfaction and providing a memorable and comfortable experience during your stay.

Looking for the fastest way to contact us? We are only a text away! Text 631-448-3800, and a reservationist will reach out to you as soon as possible to help you with any questions or concerns. 

Check-in time is 4:30 PM.   Our staff will happily meet you at the ferry terminal to assist with luggage. Please call the hotel to request this complimentary service the day before arrival.
Feel free to arrive on the island at your convenience, and we'll take care of the pre-check in process for you at the front desk. We'll guide you on where to store your luggage and you'll have full access to our hotel's amenities, including beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, bicycles, and kayaks. You can relax and enjoy these facilities while we prepare your room. Be reassured, we'll promptly notify you as soon as your room is ready!

Check out time is 11:00 AM.  

Please note we cannot guarantee early check-in or late check - out as the occupancy of the hotel is unknown at the time of your reservation.  Occupancy rates tend to be high during peak season.​
 

PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING REGARDING OUR CHECK-IN PROCESS:

  1. Only one (1) credit card will be accepted as payment for the remaining balance. This card must be the same as the name on the reservation and must be accompanied by a matching photo ID. 

  2. The minimum age to rent is 25 years old. (ID is required.)

  3. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and cash payments.

  4. Cash payments can only be accepted for the remaining balance after the initial deposit is taken via card. Please speak with a reservationist regarding the 4% service charge and your remaining balance before your arrival.

  • Access to your private beach at the bay - Join us for some fun in the sun at our Palms Hotel exclusive bay beach. This private beach located right on the bay is the perfect spot to avoid the heavy beach crowds, grab a frozen cocktail and enjoy a true Fire Island sunset!

  • Complimentary breakfast every morning at The Landing Bistro 8:30 AM - 11:00 PM.  At times, the location of breakfast may change due to events at the hotel.

  • Steps to restaurants and nightlife - Stop by the front desk to check out weekly calendar of events at our network of restaurants.

  • Complimentary champagne happy hour with an appetizer served in our lobby daily at 4:00 PM

  • Complimentary bottled water at check-in

 

 

  • Flat-screen TVs with satellite access and complimentary guest Wi-Fi. Just select the strongest signal in your building and stream at your leisure! It is an open network with no password. Enjoy over 100 channels with a range of programming geared towards children and adults alike.

  • Our complimentary bicycles  are a convenient way to explore the area. Please remember that these are available for both adults and children. Ocean Beach maintains strict bicycling rules during the season. Biking on Bay Walk, the main street of Ocean Beach, is strictly prohibited. We suggest that guests ride through Seaview and Ocean Bay Park, our neighboring towns, as these have the best scenic views and have fewer restrictions on the weekends.

  • Beach towels, wagons, beach chairs, and umbrellas are exclusively for our guests. Stop by the Loft, and our team will help you set up for a day at the beach.

 

  • The Palms Hotel offers Watersports at no charge. While relaxing at our private beach, please speak with a Palms Bay attendant regarding details. Due to weather and bay conditions, this is subject to closing without notice.

  • All of our rooms have been recently refurbished and are equipped with air conditioning

Some final notes:

Smoking and vaping is strongly prohibited inside any of The Palms Hotel buildings. There is a $250.00 fine for violating the fire code restrictions. Any guests caught doing so will be subject to this charge. 
 
All grounds are subject to closure without notice for partial or exclusive event use. We do offer multiple locations for guests, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may present.
 
Our boutique hotel comprises six properties and features 38 rooms of varying sizes. We have something for everyone, from small and cozy efficiencies to spacious multi-room cottages and suites. Some of our locations offer a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, while others are in the heart of the bustling nightlife.
